Wishing everybody a Happy New Year - a tad late!!

At last, I am able find time to write a little post about my wonderful trip to Hurtsville Grove, NSW, Australia. I arrived at Kingsford Smith International Airport in Sydney on a Wednesday, January 24, 2018 (I had just turned age 73) during flight!! My flight was long but I was able to relax quite a bit!! My grand kids ages (17 and 12) received me at the airport!! Once again, I was very lucky to be able to enjoy my visit my son, his wife, and kids. We did some sightseeing of which I will post some photos soon.

Queens

Many years ago, my actual stay was in Queens in 2004 and 2006. Queens is a significantly large area of multicultural diversity. It's a residence for immigrants that's very vibrant despite the havoc caused by Hurricane Sandy of October 29, 2012. My revisit in 2015 surprised me; Queens and areas affected by the storm had rebuilt to attract tourists from around the world. My last trip in the Summer of 2016 was across the East Rive to Long Island City. I took a walk, popping in to look into east Indian stores. As always, I'm always in need of small towels to wipe off dust and grime from skin when I get too hot and sweaty.

A typical Fall Day

I am missing Fifth Avenue, NYC; I'm imagining the Empire State Building looking down on me!! I walked many miles around this area each time I visited. I made sure I had good walking shoes on and lots of moisturizer on my face and skin: Give the gift of Organic Beauty. Gift sets at great value. No code needed.

Tenth Avenue Square

As you know, the urban High Line Park is an amazing transformation of the old railway tracks. I loved to take that long walk on The High Line. Many different planking building materials went into transforming concrete areas. And while I observed and enjoyed the beauty of the park, I would frequently apply lipstick to keep my lips moist:

Missing Long Island City

It's been a year since I visited my niece in Long Island City, NY. I loved this place along the bank of the East River. I often took the ferry across it to Manhattan; a significant hike to Fifth Avenue; and on to Time Square. Here, out side Fresco's Cantina, Long Island City; enjoying a strawberry margarita - Summer 2015

The High Line Park - a must on your "do" list

When you are in New York City, The High Line Park. It's simply spectacular; it's off Gansevoort Street in the meat packing district of Greenwich Village. I thoroughly enjoyed the long walk in perfect sunshine. There were tourists galore. Flowers bloomed along the trail. Shops and restaurants along the way.

Fly to New York City

Flew from Indianapolis on American Airlines to New York City on Wednesday, 06/01/16. It was an early 6:10 a.m. flight; the pilot moved a few of us to the front (First Class) as he wanted the plane well-balanced !! Caught a cab from Laguardia to Long Island City; a 15-minute drive; took me more than 30 minutes as the driver had no clue; finally we got my cell phone Google Map; believe it or not; I just bought the phone so I had limited knowledge; expensive ride ! After seeing my niece, spent the day in Manhattan, then met up with my niece and friends for dinner at Union Square, "The Republic" for a Vietnamese dinner. The highlight of the dinner ? We were joined by my niece's friend, Bollywood film star, Padmini Kholapuri; a simply gorgeous woman; am trying to upload a picture; will have to try it later;
